Delegates of Mission Parish
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Our motto, "Youth Evangelizing Youth" is at the heart of every Jornadista. Therefore, the work of evangelization and missions is the role of the movement, of each zone, of every parish and all Jornadistas. If we are to have more young men and women live their Jornada, if we are to open more parish groups, we need to work on missions.
That is my reason for asking every parish to have a Delegate of Missions. The announcement comes prior to the beginning of the pastoral year, so that parishes can begin to plan different events throughout the year in order to encourage new members to join this beautiful movement.
I encourage each of you to personally enter this role of working for missions with a commitment to a renewal for a stronger and more effective way for youth to evangelize youth. However, I am asking all of you to seriously consider the call to serve your parish as a mission delegate.
Allow me to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Roany Molina, Delegate of Missions, and all zone mission delegates for their assistance in coordinating and working with parishes in developing this new position. They will be working very closely with parishes to invite young men and women to be part of this movement.
Finally, I entrust this new position of parish mission delegate under the patronage of Our Lady. I ask her to help make each of us generous and committed missionaries in our apostolado.
